Wow, it’s interesting to know that fluoride content in the water supply can influence how often I’d need to get a dental x-ray. Years ago, I found out that one of my wisdom teeth is impacted but it never once hurt me so I currently am not thinking about getting it extracted. Perhaps more frequent visits to the dentist can help me monitor if the tooth stays in place and is not causing any trouble.

had a dentist say to me today that if he did not take a full mouth series every year he could loose his license. Wow so upset. Every 3 years Right?
Bitewings yearly. I have 1 cavity and am 50 years old.

Hi Michele. Sorry to hear that. I believe an FMX (full mouth series) every year is excessive in my opinion. On average, we take them every 5 years, and 3 years for patients deemed to be at higher risk. Wishing you all the best.
